Lincoln had his MRI yesterday. I have to say him coming out of sedation was worse than the seizures. He just didn't understand that he wasn't able to run around like he's used to doing. I was completely unprepared for all of that! I had to giggle when we walked into ARA and there in the corner was a table & toys from IKEA. It seems to be a recurring theme. Granted, IKEA kids stuff is cute and cheap. You can't beat cute & cheap. But, it still reminded me of where this little storm started. As I thought about it, these verses came to my mind.......
So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” Joshua 4:4-7
There are places that are reminders from infertility..... 38th & Lamar area. Dr. Seeker's office, Dr. Vaughn's office & Seton are all there. Infertility treatments and eventually the births of 2 of our children. Even Seton reminds me of my Daddy's first heart attack and visiting him & Mom on the weekends while he was there. My two oldest being born there redeemed the location and replaced the sad memories with happy ones. Central Market brings back memories of waiting for IUIs, OB appointments and bringing the kids there for Biscuit Brothers concerts. And now we have IKEA and all it's fun stuff.... another reminder of God's goodness & faithfulness. Without fear, we will go there again. We will eat when kids eat free and we will sit at the same table where all this began.
