The Pool is Open

We bought Coralee a plastic pool with a slide last weekend. My intent was to use it then but we didn't. So, this afternoon, I filled up the pool for her to play. She had a really good time with the exception of a few falls. One was off the back of the slide when she landed on a sticker vine. Poor baby has scrapes on her back from it. The other was when Mommy didn't hold on tight enough as she went down the slide and she went under the water. A little shocking! By the end of the play session, she was all about climbing onto the slide all by herself.... well, almost all by herself! Mommy had to help a little!

Zilker Zephyr & a Picnic Lunch

The other big draw for the day was a ride on the Zephyr. Coralee & Jared were very excited about riding the train! Coralee really enjoyed waving at everyone along the way. Amazingly, I think she was more excited about that than any of the dogs we saw. That says a lot! We ate our lunch after the train ride. It was a pleasant lunch for Coralee & me but Teresa & Jared had a bird directly above their head that decided it would be nice to poop next to their food. Yuck! We were on the other end of the table so we weren't so lucky.

Dino Pit

We went to the Nature & Science Center with Teresa, Jared & Evie this week. It was our first trip there without the stroller. Coralee did great and was too cute holding hands with Jared!

Amy's Ice Cream

We met Teresa, Jared & Evie at Amy's on Monday afternoon. I'm not sure what Coralee enjoyed more.... the ice cream or the playground. Of course, no pictures from the ice cream. It's hard feeding yourself and your kiddo ice cream! ;-)

Mother's Day

Ken sent Coralee in with my present and card while I was getting ready. She said her normal "Here 'ya go". So funny! She gave me a new charm for my bracelet... it's a purse. Ken did well picking that out since she loves them so much. He said he looked at the tea pot, too, since playing "tea" is so much fun for her, too. We went to church as usual this Sunday morning. We had worship care in Coralee's classroom during the service. I have to say that it was one of the roughest times we've had in a long time.... so many crying little ones! Eventually Coralee got to the point where she was willing to share us instead of yelling "My Mommy.... My Daddy". After church, they were taking pictures of all the Moms and their families. Hopefully I'll be able to add it (and want to add it) tomorrow. She got to talk to all the grandmothers as well as her great-grandmother. It was a little bit of a battle to get her to talk on the phone but in the end she did. The cutest was when she had baby Stella talk on her phone! We went to dinner at Threadgill's downtown and tried to go to the Mother's Day concert at Zilker but apparently with the rain it had been canceled. Oops! We went to Threadgill's on Lamar last year and hopefully we'll go to the new one in Cedar Park this next year! We took a few pictures outside.

Brushy Creek Lake Park

Coralee had SO much fun today! She ran around all over the place and was really good about sharing her toys.... except with Wyatt. What am I going to do with her? She followed him around though when he was eating popcorn expecting him to share.

Baby Ducks

We went to feed the ducks again and were surprised on two counts.... 1) the geese were no where to be seen and 2) there were baby ducks! Coralee slipped a foot into the pond in her new shoes but at least I bought grey tennis shoes!

Curlers

I let my hair dry too much and needed to do something slightly extraordinary to make it be a relatively good hair day. Coralee loves the curlers so I decided to roll her hair, too. Of course, we had to have a picture!

Mother's Day Crafts

We took a few pictures of Coralee making gifts for Grammy, Grandma and Na Na. Ken worked extra hard to get a picture of her blue hair. You can't work with paint without rubbing it in your hair! Silly girl!

Fun Tuesday #2

This week we went to Inflatable Wonderland. She was precious jumping in the Nemo jumper. That's her favorite and I think it's because you don't have to crawl through anything. She also likes the carousel one but it's hard to get a picture since it's a little dark. Her absolute favorite thing was the candy dispensers. She'd run back and forth between the jumper and the candy. Too cute! The great thing about going there is that Tuesdays & Thursdays are half price and you can come and go all day. We went to Chick-fil-a for lunch, came back for a little while, and then went home for a nap and came back again afterwards. All for $5.41.... we got our money's worth! She made friends the last time we were there with the people that run it. They were concerned she wasn't jumping and tried everything to help out and even offered to give us our money back. Too sweet! We're fans for sure!

A New Dress from Grammy

I just thought she looked so precious in this dress!

Coralee & the Sugar Nonny

We went to San Antonio for yet another Saturday. Not only did we get to spend the day with Rachel & the kids (and Jody for dinner) but Aunt Laura & Uncle Gil were there for Ramie's first communion so we got to see them too. Ken went to a Rangers baseball game with some guys from our Sunday school class so it was the perfect opportunity for me to get out of the house! Coralee ate so much sugar it wasn't even funny.... fudgesicles, M & Ms, and a baby bottle pop. Oh and she topped it off with Cheetos! The cutest thing was that she talked about Drew the whole way home. He was so sweet to her! When Jody got home for dinner, the kids were all outside in the front yard. Coralee thought she was big enough for all the bikes (without training wheels) and the scooters. It was really cute! She melted and didn't eat much if anything at dinner and passed out on the way home. Of course, she had a leaky diaper and woke up once we got into Austin. The traffic on 35 was terrible so I exited down town and we crawled through there until we were able to get onto Mopac. Then we had to get gas because I was almost on empty. It was a mess! It took us 2 1/2 hours instead of the usual hour and a half. Yikes!

Park & Pizza Social

Our class had a social there so we ate dinner and played a lightning round of putt-putt before it was time to go back to church for the kids. There was also a little bit of batting practice going on after the putt putt. The funny thing was that Tim & Jerad showed up in the same shirt. Ken has such a big head that the batting helmet didn't quite fit so well but he decided to be a little silly and play golf with the baseball bat and his helmet. Are we still in high school?

Bathing Beauty

We went to the splash park last week since it opened May 1. Coralee was a little hesitant and went back to last year's favorite.... the fence. My batteries died before I could get a whole bunch of pictures.
