A New Swing

I was really excited to find a good deal on a swing at Walmart. Ken put it up yesterday and Lincoln is a big fan.

Comparison from about a year ago

Since she was wearing the same dress, I decided we should take a picture before she gets too tall for the dress. They coordinated pretty well, too, so it was another excuse for a Kodak moment.

Coralee's Dragon

I loved hearing her description of it.

Lasagna Moustache

I bought the meal deal at HEB last week and I was amazed by how much Lincoln enjoyed the lasagna. He had 4 or 5 helpings. Thankfully I didn't have to change his diapers on Sunday morning. I hear they were doozies.

Lincoln's First Trip to Luby's

I brought Lincoln for his follow up appointment with the GI doctor and while I was gone, Coralee decided Luby's was the place for lunch. I should say that he's gained 4 lbs since our initial appointment with her 3 months ago. His pediatrician was happy at his 9 month appointment and she was happy with his gain at this appointment as well. He seemed to gain even more overnight after that appointment and he's really been eating a ton lately..... just like his sister did at his age. Anyway, we went to Luby's and Lincoln devoured his mac & cheese. In fact, he even ate some of my mac & cheese. That boy has good taste. He wasn't as sure about the sweet potatoes but he did eat them along with even some of Coralee's green beans.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday a day late when they came to visit. Coralee had a blast decorating the cake and setting the table.

Getting in Sissy's Lip Gloss

I knew the lip gloss had fallen but got distracted and didn't pick it up. Lincoln found it and dug his little fingers into all the different colors. You can't see it all that well but I still felt like there needed to be a picture taken.

Couple of Sewing Projects

My cousin Eleisha stayed with us for about a week. It was great to have her here.... especially if you ask Coralee. She was constantly asking where her cousin was and getting her name confused with Alexandra, Eleisha's sister. I found an adorable idea for a fancy schmancy table and chairs for Coralee and Eleisha and I went to shopping at Hobby Lobby for supplies. It was great to have someone else to make decisions. I can't wait to get started and post some pictures. Gotta do that soon! I also bought some bandanas to make a dress for a birthday party and then to try out an idea for a dress for Coralee. It thrilled me to no end that she couldn't wait to wear her pom pom dress.

My little Cajuns

We had Shrimp Creole and okra and tomatoes for dinner when Mimi and Paw Paw came to visit. I have to say that both were really yummy. I was so proud of Coralee for actually trying it and Lincoln scarfed it down as usual.

Chuck E. Cheese

I came up with a scheme to go shopping with Jaime.... take the kids for pizza and games. We had fun talking while they played and then closed down Joann's Fabric and almost closed down Starbucks. Ken even called because he was getting worried because it was so late and Brent called Jaime. I left my phone in the diaper bag so that wasn't all that helpful. Jaime and I were just talking in the driveway.... like usual. :-) It was fabulous to have a girl's night out with a good friend. I should also say that when you ask Coralee who she's going to marry she says Jacob and if you ask why she says, "because he's my best friend." Works for me.

Lincoln's First Whataburger

I don't remember what we did earlier in the day but I wasn't in the mood to fix lunch so we stopped at Whataburger. I felt bad giving Link his first burger when Daddy wasn't there but I guess we'll survive. He was a fan for sure.

Nobody Belize Me

Chrissy brought this onesie back from Belize. I have to admit it's a little short even for Lincoln. He had some man cleavage throughout the day. We have a great picture of Coralee making a similar face in a shirt from Aunt C but I can't seem to find it.

Mommy's Helper

We had some friends over for dinner and Coralee helped with dessert. She had a blast crushing the oreos and it was one less thing for me to do.

A No Peanut Bird Seed Thingie

I had originally bought these little bell things at Walmart with bird seed. I thought it would be less messy (i.e. less weeds from flying bird seed because of the squirrels) but it had peanuts and I am a little paranoid that we will be THE ones that make our friends have to use their epi pen. So, we stopped getting those. What I realized, though, was that they were made with birdseed and gelatin so I tried to find instructions online. All you do is dissolve unflavored gelatin and add birdseed. We made them in mini bundt cake pans in hopes that they would survive a little easier since they'd be lighter. We also used the mixture on some pine cones which didn't work as well. The instructions said it was best to do this in the winter or the gelatin would dissolve. I will say that it did melt but the birdseed is still stuck together. I don't know if there aren't as many birds or if they don't like the gelatin but it's still here a couple of weeks later.

Beauty & The Beast

Okay, so we didn't get any pictures of the actual performance but we met friends from church for this year's Zilker Hillside Theater show. Coralee & Riley waded in the water (ah, memories of "special trip" in Colorado last summer) and then we took some time to play on the playground before we ate our dinner. The kids had fun watching the show. Riley zonked out towards the end of the first act but Coralee and Lincoln kept going. Thankfully Lincoln did sleep through the second half - of course Ken had to stand up and rock him to get him that way. Little stinker!
