Before

Tomorrow is the big day.... Coralee is getting her first hair cut. I wanted to take her before Christmas but chickened out when the lady that answered the phone at one of the kiddie places was a little rude. A couple of weeks ago, she announced that she wanted Mrs. Elizabeth (who cuts Mommy's hair) to cut her hair. So, I made the appointment when I had mine cut last. We're just trimming a little off of the edges but it's still a big deal. I'm hoping it will make a difference with the tangles. If it doesn't, I've threatened to chop it all off which doesn't make her happy. Unfortunately it doesn't stop

the screaming when I comb her hair either. Ken had the great idea of putting a striped shirt on her for comparison's' sake. Obviously it's a new shirt.... a la Minnie Pearl. :-)

Baby Guacamole

This week's new food is avocado. I wish I was eating it with him... yummm! Sister had to have her picture taken of course.
**if you are using the feed, go to the blog to see video :-)

Sweet Potatoes

His first real taste of sweet potatoes was at the Whataburger in Brenham. Coralee spent last week

with Mimi & Paw Paw and Grandma & Grandpa and Ken had something at Lamar so we went "back home" on Thursday. As seems to be the new norm, I forgot the camera so Ken took a picture with his phone.

Last night, since Coralee was beyond tired from her week with the grandparents and the week before where she was excited to spend time with them, I decided that we should stay home from church last night. Ken usually holds Lincoln but I got the booster seat out in hopes it would make things easier. I thought maybe mixing some oatmeal with the sweet potatoes would help him sleep longer. No such luck on that but it was worth the try. Oh and about the post it - we have so many pictures of Coralee eating mysterious things. When they come up on the screen saver, I wish I knew what orange concoction she was eating. So, Link's food will be labelled.

Lincoln's New Outfit

It's really too big but it was too cute to wait until he had grown into it. We've borrowed most of Lincoln's clothes which has been fabulous so I felt like he "needed" a new outfit.

Baby Dedication

This weekend was baby dedication at church. As you can see, we matched pretty well although Daddy doesn't have a red shirt. We all went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Coralee filled her belly with butter and bread (mostly butter). She didn't have much room for her french toast but as you can see, it's fun to play with.

Fun with Family

Everyone came in to town for Lincoln's baby dedication. Coralee loved having everyone around. She stayed in her night gown all day on Saturday which wasn't a big deal since we didn't go anywhere. She even let Na Na hold her which for some reason she hasn't been keen on doing for a while. One of the most hilarious things she said was asking Mom if her outfit was her Halloween costume. Huh? We still haven't figured that one out. Everyone got to see Lincoln have his first taste of oatmeal, too.

Valentines Day

I don't know what it is about holidays but it seems to bring out the worst in Coralee and in some ways me as well. I expect the day to be good and when it's not, I melt. She woke up early which is never good. We got in the car to go get some goodies for Ken. When I got in the car, he had left my card and had bought me the new Steven Curtis Chapman CD with "Dance with Cinderella" on it and it was playing when I got in. That song makes me cry not only thinking about how quickly time goes by with my own little Cinderella but also about how I miss my Daddy. Valentines was his birthday and it made me a little emotional to think about all that he's missed out on in my life. That could be an entirely different post. We went to deliver Daddy's valentines to work but she didn't realize that we weren't going to see Daddy. So, she cried the whole way home. Nap was rough. All in all a rough day. Maybe St. Patrick's Day will be better. Is there hope for April Fool's?
