More Zilker Pictures/The End of the Camera

Our camera has been held together with duct tape for a good while and it finally gave up on Saturday night. We took 8,666 pictures in less than 2 years. Wow! That's a lot! We have replaced it but had to lean on our cell phones and their less than perfect quality for the rest of the evening.

Zilker Park

We went down to the park to see 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. We put our blankets down at 6:00 and ate our dinner and then rode the train and played on the playground. Coralee had a blast. She really enjoyed the show, too. She was dancing and clapping and shouting "yay!" a good bit of the time. Definitely something we'll have to do year after year! What fun!

Pool Pictures

We spent the day outside when Mimi & Paw Paw visited. Coralee had a great time!

More 4th Pictures.... an attempt at fireworks

We had planned on going to the Cedar Park fireworks display but it was cancelled due to rain. So, we hopped in the car and drove down to Barton Creek Mall to park and watch Austin's fireworks from the parking lot. Apparently that is not a novel idea because it was packed. It was raining the whole time we were there. We talked to Ken's parents on the phone and let Coralee play in the front seat (she did NOT want to get back in when we left.... oops). We listened to the symphony on the radio until the radio station's tower had to be taken down due to lightning. When the show finally started, Coralee was more interested in the umbrella than she was the fireworks. Silly girl! We left when it started lightning again but we got a good view of the fireworks driving down Mopac.

4th of July Parade

We went to the parade in Round Rock again this year. It's so neat! It feels so much like a small town although it's such a big 'burb. Coralee had a blast going and picking up the candy. She also made sweet Jacob cry by fighting him over his chair. What a mess! Toddler rules of ownership apply..... I saw it, therefore it is mine! The best part was the senior citizens' float. They throw peanuts and squirt the crowd with water guns. The kids are slightly disappointed with the peanuts..... except for Coralee. She was too funny; she took a bite out of it shell and all. We haven't given her peanuts a whole lot since she shouldn't have them until she's 2. Figuring she's safe from the allergies but still. Anyway, she'd go run out and pick them up when all the other kids had picked up the candy. She thought it was too fun to shake them and listen to them rattle.

Helping with the Dishes

The past two days Coralee has been an observer as I made breakfast. Yesterday we made muffins and then cookies (after her breakfast). She was a little too fascinated with taking the flour out of the bowl and dumping it on the countertop with the tablespoon measure! She also thought it was a ton of fun to chunk things in the sink like Mommy. Oops! I was just trying to get things out of her reach. This morning, we had blueberry pancakes so she watched me make those as well. She even helped Daddy with the dishes later. Oh, and the water on her shirt is from where she tried to drink out of Mommy's water bottle. Life is fun if a bit messy!

A Garage Sale Bargain

I always said I wouldn't have that plastic junk in my backyard and now I've eaten my words! I took Oscar for a walk on Saturday morning and saw this playscape on my way home. I walked as fast as I could to get back to the house to tell Ken to go buy it. We decided that if it was less than $30, we'd buy it. They were asking $25 but Ken spent $30 since he bought the Fisher Price Farm we were looking for, too. Woohoo for bargains!

Momma's Flip Flops

This girl is obsessed with shoes..... well, she's obsessed with trying on all of Momma's shoes for sure. These flip flops are from the Hannah's Prayer retreat almost a year to the date of when she was born. Such a special time to get together with my online friends in real life. It's amazing to see what God has done in everyone's life's over the years.

Going to "Sleep" with Daddy

Coralee got both of the pillows off the bench and said, "Daddy sleep; Coralee sleep" and they both lay down on the floor. Too sweet!
