Snow!?!

Okay, so it wasn't deep and so it just buried the ice a little bit.... it was still snow! It may be the only snow she sees for years! Coralee had more fun walking around in the snow than she did actually playing in it. It was bitterly cold - 16 degrees and felt like -5! We didn't stay outside long. Now, she did have an extra layer of clothes.... tights and a turtleneck onesie underneath her velour outfit.

Meeting the Laging Family

We made a trip up to Oklahoma this past weekend for my Uncle's funeral. Certainly not the best reason to see family but it was wonderful to see everyone nonetheless. Coralee didn't want to sit still during the funeral and zonked out on the way to the cemetary so I missed a lot of it. We went back to my Aunt's house for lunch and Coralee had a great time playing with her cousins. Benjamin is a week younger than Coralee. They pushed each other around a little bit although I think Coralee was pushier than he was. She was exhausted but refused to snuggle and go to sleep. It was pretty cute to see her try to curl up on the floor, though! We had a whirlwind trip.... left Austin around 9:30 on Thursday and came home this afternoon. We made it through some icy weather through part of the trip home.

Two Sprouts

After buying some bows from Gymboree that come in pairs, I decided it was time to give the two sprout 'do a try. I used the clips to make them lay down instead of sprouting. Pretty cute if I do say so myself! Kind of fun to have something different!

Valentine's Day

We bought Coralee balloons, a pink ball and a pretend cell phone for this special day. We had played with the phone several times at Target and hope that she'll get her button fun out with that instead of attempting to use the remote control.

Pizza & Root Beer

For Valentine's Dinner, we had Pizza from Yaghi's and IBC root beer. We had to laugh because her pediatrician always talked about her eating pizza and drinking root beer before we knew it. It was Coralee's first big exposure to "coke". She wasn't a big fan at first and didn't drink all that I'd given her. She did love the pizza, though. It's so hard to get her to eat veggies sometimes but she loved the spinach, black olives and tomatoes.

Feeding Herself

Coralee's new favorite thing is to feed herself with her own spoon or fork. No more of this eating with your hands stuff. We've gone from feeding her everything to having her eat everything with her hands and now we've reverted back to having to load her fork/spoon for her. She immediately turns the spoon over when she brings the spoon to her mouth. Forks work far better for us. Anyway, she absolutely LOVES the Yo Baby yogurt but it is so stringy and messy. The other morning she insisted on feeding it to herself and made a lovely mess. SO cute!

At the Park with Daddy

We met Teresa and Renae and all the kiddos at the park one afternoon. Ken ended up coming there instead of going straight to the house and had a good time scaring Teresa by pushing Jared too high in the swings. I have to admit I was scared, too, at times! Of course, Ken and Jared were having a good time! I've been trying to get Coralee to wear her sunglasses but she likes to play with them. Funny since she says "glasses" all the time now. At least I was able to get a quick picture!

Mommy's Weekend Away

I met some of my friends from Hannah's Prayer in Kansas City for a girls' weekend. I cried at the airport leaving Coralee but I was okay as soon as the goodbye was over. It was kind of fun to sit in the airport and read a book and just enjoy the relative quiet and calm! That says a lot I guess! Coralee keeps us on our toes these days but it's SO much fun! We shopped most of the day Saturday and then got all "gussied up" for dinner. The funniest thing was that there was a high school formal the same night. Notice the "young man" with the spaghetti in the background! I'm sure they thought we were extremely goofy "old" women. Amazing how "old" is such a relative term! ;-)

Poncho Girl

I just think she's too cute in this outfit!

Radijazz

Well, Coralee may not like Inflatable Wonderland but she LOVES Radijazz! It was a rainy Saturday morning and I really wanted to get out and do something fun! She had a blast sliding down the slide and carrying the balls all over the place. Needless to say she wasn't a fan of the ball pit! The balls were okay in the tree trunk but she wasn't okay in the tree trunk!

Mmmm.... Cookies

Coralee had a rare treat! Needless to say she really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies!
