Jacket/Dressing Up

Coralee insisted on wearing her jacket today. We went to the outlet mall today to buy new shoes.... gotta love wide feet and Stride Rite and it was cool this morning so she kind of needed it... for 30 minutes. ;-) She loves to help Mommy make smoothies for breakfast in the morning. And we've started to enjoy getting dressed up.

Chopsticks/Shoes/Egg Rolls

We bought some cheater chopsticks for Coralee & Mommy and the real ones for Ken. She didn't eat much dinner but did have fun walking around with Mommy's shoes..... as usual.

Making Cookies with Momma

We made chocolate chip cookies the other day. She was way too into eating the dough and was beyond thrilled when I gave her the beater and spoon.

What a mess..... what a toddler!

We have come to the age of 2 with relatively few messes. This wasn't really all that bad but it was really funny how it all came about! Before dinner, she peed on the floor instead of in the potty. We felt like it was progress since at least it wasn't in a diaper ;-). After dinner she knocked over my water glass and Ken and I were picking up that spill when she decided Oscar needed "more". So, she got the food out and dropped some all over the floor. The best was her trying to pick up pieces out from under the fridge.

Sea World.... again

Gotta love season passes and not having to pay for Coralee since she's 2 and under! We took advantage of one of the last weekends that the water park was open. Of course it was too cool in the morning to really get in the water so we saw some shows and fed the seals/sea lions beforehand. We still follow the Ogea's rules for Sea World... BYOL.... bring your own lunch! Much cheaper that way! We had a buy one get one free tray of fish to feed the seals/sea lions. I was all brave and ready to do it until I actually saw the fish. Ick! Like I wanted to touch that! Ken fed most of the fish and then Coralee had a turn. We did finally get in the water and it was still cold. It was funny to see Coralee playing with the star and turtle and being SO much bigger this year. We stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way home for dinner. I got some Reese Cups and gave a bite to Coralee... she made a bit of a mess!

New clothes/Old bow

With the weather getting cooler (aka less than 100) I decided it might be a good idea to pick up some new clothes. I did well not stocking up on stuff that was on sale last year. Figured that the way she had been growing it would be more financially worth it to buy in season and be able to use the clothes!

Zilker with Kim & Jacob

We went to the Nature & Science Center and rode the train. Then we went to Shady Grove for lunch.... yum! Thankfully the weather was nice and reasonable.... not cool but reasonable! ;-)

Guest Bathroom

Wow! Trying to repaint is just a pain! It took two coats of primer to cover up the dark, dark green. Usually we would have just painted up a storm and knocked this small of a space in a day or two. However, we were really busy this weekend and we only had nap & night time to work on it. I honestly thought it would never get done but it did. Well, still some trim work to do but it's pretty much done! Just need to hang pictures & accessories! I'm very happy with the color, though. It's so much brighter and looks so clean.

Oatmeal Festival

I remember going to the Oatmeal Festival when I was little. I was SO impressed by the crop duster that dropped oatmeal. So we decided to go this Labor Day weekend. We sat across from the live band which was fun. Coralee was a little afraid of the "Oatmeal Man" although she enjoyed getting a balloon and temporary tattoo from one of his helpers. Our parade "neighbor" gave her a powdered sugar donut which she greatly enjoyed. We were there for the pet parade and then the regular parade as well. Should we go again, we'll sit in a different area. We were kind of overrun by bigger kids since it was right where you'd park and walk to sit and enjoy the parade. So, she wasn't able to pick up much candy. It was SO sweet when she would get a piece. What a smile!
