2 month comparison

Lauramae is the biggest kiddo yet for this age. At 2 months Coralee weighted 10 lbs 6 oz, Lincoln was 12 lbs 8 oz and Lauramae (drum roll please) was 13 lbs 5 oz. She is still such a sweet baby that mainly cries if she's hungry.... at that weight, you'd think she cries all the time! When we took her for her well check the doctor said she didn't need to eat in the middle of the night any more. Her nights have been random. She'll sleep 8 hours between feedings one night, 10 hours the next and then 3, 4 or 5 hours the next night. She is smiling and cooing all the time and it's just the sweetest thing ever! Lincoln & Coralee are still madly in love with her... sometimes a little too in love.

Fourth of July

We had a very busy weekend! Friday night we went over to the Mason's for dinner. The kids had a great time playing and we had a great time being as well. Saturday morning we went to the 4th of July parade in Round Rock. There were several families from church so that was fun. Next we went to lunch at Chuy's. I think I spent more time in the van feeding Lauramae and in the bathroom changing Lincoln's diaper than I did at the table. We went home for a nap and then headed to the Pearces for swimming & fajitas. Next it was off to the high school to meet our friends the Mims for fireworks. I'm tired thinking about it and it's all over now! More pictures here.

Sea World

Since Ken had two days off of work for the 4th of July, we went down to Sea World for the day on Thursday. We learned from Jody & Rachel to pack our lunch and eat outside the park. We can make it through the day at Sea World for the price of a refill bucket of popcorn. We can't get it together to leave early enough to be there, leave and have our lunch so we had lunch in the van on the way. The kids did great and the trip down there was really good. It was super duper hot and I was very thankful that I got to spend time in the air conditioned nursing rooms! Our first stop was the water park and it was so much fun to watch Coralee be so brave in the water. It seems like swim lessons made a big difference this year! We watched the sea lion/seal show, Shamu & Viva. Lincoln just sat there in awe. It was so cute. Ken, Lincoln & Coralee sat in the splash zone for Shamu but thankfully didn't get too wet. We left around 6:00 and headed to eat dinner. I fed Lauramae before we left the restuarant. We stopped at the outlet mall so I could go to the Crate & Barrel outlet. Coralee and I shopped while everyone else stayed in the van. When I got back, Lauramae was screaming so I fed her again. She got a little fussy as we started to leave but I was so ready to get back home so we just left. We didn't make it very far down the road before we had to stop and feed her again. It was 10:00 before we got home!?! It was still a great trip and worth the sweating and lack of sleep! Oh, and here are more pictures on facebook.

Splash Park

We attempted to go to the splash park with Shannon, Colston & Hudson and Jaime & Jacob. Well, I guess we did make it there but we didn't stay long. Both Shannon & Jaime called me to ask if we should try it even though it looked like it was going to rain and rain hard. I figured it was going to be a quick summer storm so I said we should go anyway. Unfortunately, I was wrong. As soon as we all got there it started raining big fat rain drops. Coralee played a little bit. It just happened that there were some friends from church and their kiddos there. Lincoln wasn't into the sprinklers, we'll have to try again some other time and give him more time to warm up. We ended up going to Shannon's to play so the morning wasn't wasted. It's always nice to hang out with friends! I've missed that girl time!

Visit Back Home

We went back home to visit since Keegan was in Houston earlier in the week for a job interview. It was also the first time that Dee & Na Na got to meet Lauramae. We stayed at Mimi's and figured out that Lincoln sleeps really well in their closet. While Coralee struggled with going to sleep in a room without a door, he slept late both mornings. It felt like the quickest trip we've made but Ken said it was probably the fact that we have 3 kids now. We dropped Keegan off at the airport since we were going through Houston anyway and then had coffee with Chrissy (crazy since it was 100 degrees outside).

My girls

I took Coralee's hair out of the braids she was wearing and it was so wavy and cute that she wore it that way over to a friend's.

Symphony Square Art Park

I got an email from the Biscuit Brothers that they would be performing at Symphony Square and thought it would be fun for us to go. It was $.50 per kid.... how could we go wrong? Shannon and the boys came along. When we walked up to the entrance, there was a big long line. I noticed that there were strollers lining the fence so I took both kids out as soon as we got close. I wore Lauramae in the sling and attempted to get Lincoln to walk. Shannon picked him up and carried him in for me which was a huge help. The lady at the gate told us that it was "standing room only" and it didn't really register to me. There was hardly anywhere to stand. It was super hot and we couldn't even see the "Brothers". The kids had a snack and before we knew it, the concert was over. We waded through the crowd and eventually got to the stroller and headed back to the parking garage. We drove around a little too cool off and then had lunch at P. Terry's on Lamar. We found a huge booth that would fit everyone and it just happened to be across from where we needed to order our food. I put Lauramae's carrier on a high chair and looked at the menu. Next thing I know, a lady at the booth behind us screams and I turned around to see what was happening. Lincoln was crawling up onto the carrier and it was about to fall. I wasn't too freaked out because she was strapped in and even if she would have fallen, it would have scared her far more than it hurt her. I didn't realize that the group of ladies moved to another table but when I got my drink I heard them talking about what had happened. I was hot & tired and I'm already super sensitive about my kids annoying people. So, it really bothered me that they were talking about me literally behind my back. Thankfully there was a group of nurses that were waiting for their to go order. They talked with the kids and joked about their funny hats (they must have worked in the OR). They were so sweet that it made things better. I couldn't have made it through that trip without Shannon's help. Lunch with two kids was difficult but not impossible. Lunch with three is far more difficult..
