A Ring & Bible Stories

Woohoo.... up to date again! Ken's Mom gave us her baby ring since she and Coralee both were September babies. I want to have her birthday picture made with the ring on so I decided to try the ring on again. It still fits! She was very excited about wearing it and was quite upset when I suggested that she take it off.

One of her newest things is to read books to herself. At night we usually read her a Bible story, Good Night Moon (the best is to hear her "read" the title page - Margaret Brown..... Clement Hurd - in toddler English) and Owl Babies. Whenever she wakes up from nap she wants to read rather than play tea like she used to. She loves looking at her Bible and pointing out the kittens and puppies and frogs and mumbling something about "Jesus". So sweet!

Momma's Barbie Doll

I HAD to have one of the cherry outfits from Gymboree and this is what we decided on. Since I loved the collection so much I didn't wait until it was really on sale.... just 20% off and then I had a 20% off coupon. Not bad but still a splurge.

We also found Coralee's birthday dress for this year. It's just so cute!!!! Can't wait to have her pictures made in it.

Then Carter's had a 50% off play clothes and a 20% off coupon so I bought the dress. Well, we went to the new outlet mall in Round Rock and they had put the coordinating outfit on sale. I LOVED the jeans although you can't see them well in the picture. I thought it would be really cute to layer the dress with a long sleeve shirt and she could wear the dress over that. Well, the dress is too long right now for that. We'll have to settle for tights I guess. Still, I think she's just adorable in those colors. The best part was that they were on sale more the next day. Oh bother! At least we got a good deal on the jeans/shirt.

Fun at the mall

We went to Inflatable Wonderland on Tuesday with friends. The kiddos were a little overwhelmed by how many kids there were so we went to the play area at the mall and then had lunch. After nap Coralee & I went back.... ah the joy of being so close to the mall!

We met Ken's parents for dinner at my favorite restaurant..... Sartin's. Yum..... BBQ crabs! They're the best! Coralee was so tired that she sat very sweetly and cuddled with Grandma.

Visit with Aunt Laura

Of course the most popular thing at Aunt Laura's was the cat.... Snow White. Coralee's still talking about the white cat this week! She had fun playing and exploring and of course eating more chocolate. Aunt Laura had dark chocolate M & Ms..... Mommy couldn't resist those. She wasn't interested in the delicious food other than the tomatoes from the green bean salad. Goofy girl. Of course there's always room for lime sorbet and pie and more M & Ms, though!

Visiting at Mimi & Paw Paw's

Coralee is absolutely in love with kitties and doggies so she of course loved Ginger, Mom & Bubba's cat. Ginger was sweet enough to play with her a little bit although she wouldn't let Coralee pet her. Not sure I can blame the cat!

We went to Rao's Bakery (yum) for lunch with Mom and Ken's parents. Grandpa bought her fruit and that was all that she was interested in for lunch. No turkey sandwich from Mommy, thank you! She really enjoyed eating a cookie and some of Mommy's cupcake as well. There at the end of the meal she was making the funniest faces. Of course Mimi & Mommy laughing didn't help.

Oh and we rounded off the afternoon with M & Ms from Mimi! Yikes! She likes her chocolate!

Lunch Stop

Coralee & I headed to see the grandparents while Daddy was busy with NI week. Our friends Kim & Cade moved to Katy back in February so Coralee and I were able to make a stop there to visit and let Coralee run and play. Jackson was SO sweet with Coralee and just gets cuter and cuter!

Bye Bye Browns

We had a going away party for the Browns with some friends from church. The kiddos had a great time and Jared and Coralee had a blast getting dirty! We also got to celebrate Scott's birthday.

My friend Shannon had mentioned doing this with her boys. Coralee loved playing with the water and ice outside!

At the Park with Momma

Coralee could care less that it's been 100+ every day for weeks now. She'd stay outside and play all day if I let her. Mommy can tolerate that a little but not too much! I realized it had been a really long time since we went to the park so we took a little trip after nap. We had a great time..... I even got to slide down the big slides! Fun! The funniest thing was that she was trying to make the merry go round go by herself. She also got super dizzy when I was pushing her and had a hard time walking.

Children's Museum

We went with Heather, Wyatt and Seth to the Children's Museum during the Baby Bloomers time. I have been hesitant to bring Coralee any other time because I remember taking my preschool class there and it being CRAZY! I'm afraid she'd beat up on an older kid if they took her stuff! ;) Not really but it wouldn't be nearly as much fun. Anyway, they were way too cute and had a great time!
