Our New Furniture Is Here!

Great timing that it came the day before we leave for vacation, huh? At least the delivery date wasn't after we left! I'm glad to have it here and I'm really happy we waited 8 weeks for this color!

Mimi & Coralee

Mimi & Paw Paw came to visit and help us out by taking Oscar to their house while we're gone. Coralee had a blast with Mimi. They went outside and played Monday morning and had a "picnic" on the driveway.

Vacation Blog

I set up a blog for our vacation. My goal is to post daily. Have I said how much I love blogging as compared to scrapbooking? SO much easier!

We leave on Wednesday so I'm feeling a little pressured about packing! Mom & Bubba come up on Sunday to take the O-man back home with them. Ken's parents will bring him back after we get home. Sure beats paying for boarding him plus I'm afraid that he'd have irreversible phsychological damage if we left him like that. He'll have issues going with Mom & Bubba anyway. He and Ginger the kitty made acquaintances at least last time we were home. Poor little guy; he'll be ready to get home for sure!

Oh yeah, the address for the blog is http://cottonvacation2007.blogspot.com/

Our Little Boy

I never did get sonogram pictures on here so forgive the plethora. It's really neat to see him progress. Of course, we don't have the best pictures from last week's appointment. We got a surprise extra ultrasound. I haven't figured out why but I was excited to have the bonus! We were able to get a couple of the scary face shots and a side view that proves 100% that he's a boy. What was really funny to me was seeing it SO big on the screen! Kind of X-rated at the ob/gyn's office that day!

Lincoln's Room

This shelf had been in our old guest room but it's SO perfect here. Needless to say it didn't go with the Cinderella theme.

Changing pad area. We had a little blue metal basket that rubbed against the wall. This wall-hanging my aunt made was perfect to cover the blue paint on the white wall.
A friend let us borrow her boy clothes. It's so exciting to see his closet filled! Only 10 more weeks until his birthday!

Lincoln's Mobile.... don't look too closely. I'm not happy with the less than perfection on the shapes.
Coralee was really excited to show off Lincoln's sock & onesie drawer.

We're at least mostly done with his room. I realized that although I had posted pictures on the ancient, very outdated website, that so many things had changed in the room. Ken found all of this great stuff from when he was growing up - arrowheads, petrified wood, a compass, etc. in cleaning out the closets. I really think I might like Lincoln's room better than I liked it as Coralee's room. The next big change will be taking the glider out of the room and replacing it with the red plaid chair from the living room. I figure it will be a great place for me to sit and feed him while Coralee plays. Best laid plans, right?

Relaxing

I don't really know why (I'll blame it on pregnancy hormones) but I was super cranky and emotional this week. We had stayed up until 11:00 a couple of nights so I'd like to say that it was the lack of sleep. I know it's bad when I can't even convince myself to try to do better.... I'm mad and I just want to be mad. Wednesday before church I was trying to weigh my options - stay or go. If I stayed at home, I probably wouldn't go to sleep. If I went, I'd get some much needed social interaction and be happier. So, I chose to go. Definitely the best choice. But, before we left, I curled up on the couch and took a little nap. Why I decided it was okay to post a picture of my rear end on the blog, I don't know but Ken took the picture and it's part of the story. He took care of dishes so he plugged Coralee in to Little Einsteins and she was completely relaxed. Maybe someone should have taken a longer nap! Too funny and what's the deal with the arm cover for the chair? It looks like she has a changing pad under her bottom. We did figure out a possible reason for the chair thing. Ken thought maybe she had an accident on it but then realized that she was laying where I had "spot botted" some Oscar pee. She probably wanted something between her and the wet floor. Go figure!

4th of July Parade

I was SO afraid that the parade was going to be rained out this year. It did rain beforehand and there towards the end so we were able to enjoy the whole thing. This year not only were Jaime, Brent & Jacob there but Matt & Kindra came with Sean. You can see in the pictures that Coralee was not happy that Sean kept touching her chair. Silly girl! We were blessed to be around friends and a not so pushy family on our right so Coralee was able to get plenty of candy. Of course, she got pretty lazy about that and wouldn't go and get the candy right in front of her. She did say that was her favorite part of the parade and came home and pretended to throw candy. Oh, and notice Ms. Pushy Pants trying to direct traffic with her Simpsons Movie fan. What a mess!

Cinderella

I thought I might do photocards for her birthday invitations but changed my mind (long story there). Still, the pictures were awfully precious so I had to share!

A New Friend

I've been emailing with one of our friends from high school, Shera, for several months now. She has a daughter that is a few days younger than Coralee. The girls had a lot of fun together or maybe they just fought over toys. Not sure which. The funniest thing was that they had tag team potty trips - one would say she had to go and the other would have to go, too. I knew from talking with Shera that they were a lot alike but it was still funny to see them together. It was hilarious to see another kiddo Coralee's age that is the same height. Ken also noticed that Rachel talked as clearly and as much as Coralee. Of course, what do you expect from kids with such brilliant parents?

Cake Decorating with Mimi

We went back home last weekend and Mimi made Coralee a princess cake. Needless to say, she was beyond excited about that! She loved putting on the flowers and eating them as well. Paw Paw noticed how she would stick her tongue out concentrating on getting things just right. Too cute!

27 weeks Belly Picture

As Coralee would say - Lincoln is getting bigger and bigger and bigger! :-)

May have a hard time giving this up....

We bought this for a birthday gift and Coralee has clearly been in love. We looked for another one at Target but no such luck. Hiding it yesterday has not brought tears so maybe she'll be okay with giving it away!
