Video of Lincoln for Mimi

I'll stop with the Smilebox stuff. ;-) I took this video of Lincoln kicking and talking and I thought he was too cute. I told Mimi that I'd post the video for her and finally did it.

Handbells at the Capitol

The weather was really icky on Wednesday but it was still fun to go down to the capitol to ring. Ken and the kiddos came with me and they spent a good bit of the time exploring and seeing places we've never been. Coralee essentially walked the entire hour that we played.

Christmas Pictures from Penney's

We took pictures before Thanksgiving but I forgot to upload them to the blog. We got the new guy and when it was time for Coralee to have her picture taken by herself, she took over and did all the posing. What a ham!

Baby Jesus

Lincoln was baby Jesus in the Christmas program at church this year - just like Coralee was when she was his age. Grandma & Grandpa came for his stage debut. Obviously "Mary" is holding him and the other ladies are the ones that did the choreography around him during "Mary Did You Know?" He did really well and was really cute cooing and gooing and smiling.

Main Street Bethlehem

Fortunately, we heard about Main Street Bethlehem that First Baptist in Burnet does every year.... unfortunately I think we may be adding one more things to the "must do" list for the Christmas season. Our friends Shannon & Jake and their boys Colston & Hudson went with us. The kids had SO much fun together and endured the long wait by running around while holding hands. It was all fun until Coralee fell on the ground and bonked her head. We had a very interesting dinner at Mary's Beef & Buns in Bertram (home of the famous Oatmeal Festival). The burgers were good but I haven't seen that much chain smoking in a long time. Our waitress was missing a few teeth which was funny since I had gone to the dentist for the first time in almost 10 years (how embarrassing) that afternoon. Amazingly I didn't have cavities but that's neither here nor there. Quite ironic I think!

Helping Daddy with the Christmas Lights

We've taken pictures of Coralee "helping" Daddy with the lights since she was Lincoln's age. We always have to have a picture of her (and now him) in the truck bed with the lights. I didn't see all the ladder pictures until I started putting them in the blog. Now I see why Ken said Mimi would be nervous.

An attempt at napping in the crib

I tried to put Lincoln in his crib for a nap the other day but it didn't last long. There are only

so many times I'm willing to run up the stairs to make sure he doesn't wake up Coralee with his crying. You'll notice the washcloth under his head. That's because he had been coughing and then majorly spitting up and I didn't want a huge mess in the crib. The blanket is an attempt at keeping him from favoring the one side of his head since it is currently a little flat.

Happy Birthday Mimi!

Okay, so Mimi's birthday was 2 weeks ago but I'll still share the video since she enjoys it so much. Plus I thought it was cool that I could blog it. Notice how she moves Lincoln's head around the whole time. What a mess! It's surprising he doesn't have whiplash.

More staged pictures

I had seen the really cute naked baby pictures at Penney's so I thought we could surely do one for our Christmas cards. Well, trying to get him to turn his head the right way was rather difficult so we didn't do well with that.

We ended up using one of the pictures of him with the hat while on his tummy (although not the one here).

Making Cookies

I had ulterior motives for making cookies this day. We needed a cute picture of Coralee for our Christmas cards and what could be cuter than her making cookies? The only problem I had was trying to keep her from making a huge mess while I took the pictures when she was rolling out the dough. I shoould have waited until Daddy was home to attempt the whole process. I love this little apron that I found at Kohl's on the day after Thanksgiving.... just doesn't get any cuter. I did have to bribe her to get her to wear the hat but it was worth it.
