A Visit with Santa

I am so happy to report that Coralee did sit on Santa's lap and didn't cry. It took some preparation though. Starting after Halloween (really, Santa was there that early) we would walk by whenever we were at the mall and say "hi" to Santa even if he didn't see or hear her. I felt like we made some real progress when she told him about her Princess shoes (which is what she does when she's nervous)...... "Princess shoes.... light up." (stomp, stomp, stomp). We waited until Daddy was available to go see Santa. We didn't have too long to wait in line. The longest part of that wait was Santa taking his break. When we finally got our turn, the camera decided that it didn't want to work. So, the lady had to reboot the computer (Ken said it had issues since it was a Mac). Coralee sat on Santa's lap a good long while because of the technical issues. At first, she looked like she might cry but then they started talking and she was okay. We got some cute pictures with our camera and the official picture was pretty cute, too. Because we had to wait, we got a free sheet of wallets. Definitely worth the wait!
