The picture with the mittens is a little random but it was next in line. It turned really, really cold (like high in the 30s) the last week in November and we HAD to get out to go shopping for the Sunday School Christmas party. She looked pretty cute in this outfit and I figured that and a coat would keep her pretty warm. Of course fighting her to keep wearing the hat and especially mittens (which apparently aren't as good as when you take off your socks in the car and call them "gloves") was especially fun.
Okay, and now for the chocolate. Our neighbor Mark (who Coralee has her own neighborhood watch for - Mark doin'? Where's Mark?) gave her a chocolate advent calendar last year and this year as well. Last year we didn't give her all the candy but this year she ate all but two pieces. It was definitely a highlight of her day to eat the chocolate. Last year, our friends the Higgins bought us an advent activity book that has a little story and activity for each day leading up until Christmas. We would do that and then she could have the "chocolate".
